In May last year, Jim was commissioned to photograph Clerkenwell Design Week again, which is always good fun. Often he gets asked to photograph projects and designer's work that isn't formally on the brief but is a part of the festival, and this year he was asked to head to Zaha Hadid's new Design Gallery to get some shots of the interior.
The two-floor ZHD Gallery in Clerkenwell showcases both original paintings artworks by Zaha Hadid, alongside pieces that are for sale. In keeping with the eclectic heart of ZHD, which produces limited edition furniture alongside sculptural jewellery, and explores both material and technological ideas, Zaha's gallery hosts an eclectic programme of exhibitions, collaborations, and events. Recent events in the space include pop-up hair salon in collaboration with hairdressing brand, Fudge and a preview of young and fresh upcoming designers.
